The course requires a bachelor degree and the willingness to grow the entrepreneurial skills towards the development of transparent, trusted food value chains. Backgrounds in computer science, engineering, social sciences, business, and any other technical or fundamental sciences are welcome.

Digitalisation of traceability can improve the safety, efficiency and sustainability of food and increase consumer trust. Moreover, it is one of the stepping stones for the digital transformation of the food system.
The purpose of this bootcamp is to discuss the latest developments in digital systems that promote value chain linkages, and identify gaps and opportunities to build businesses solutions that would meet demands for transparency. This school responds to the need to support a new circular economy and to develop new talent in the multidisciplinary issues related to transparent food value chains, and who knows, even create start up ideas!
1 week long bootcamp, with an on-line platform available 2 weeks prior (23-08).
This summer school will be organized with a flipped classroom style. Material background and examples will be given and the students will develop and defend ideas in multidisciplinary teams. The bootcamp will respond to the need to support, develop and create start-up ideas linked to making food supply chains more transparent, guarantee or notarize value, ensure accountability across the value chain, and increase consumer trust in food.
Mentors and examples from some of the most innovative companies embracing the transparent value chain concepts will be presented during the bootcamp.
The participants, coming from diverse background will be given scenarios that will help understand the complexity of circularity of food systems, and exposure to cutting edge Insights on transparent value chains tools. They will identify gaps and opportunities, to create value in such an emerging area, at the interface of technology and, supply chain, food quality – consumer trust. They will generate an idea in the area of food systems transparency and supply chain. They will work on the idea together in multidisciplinary teams, and co-create a start up idea. The idea will then be presented in a professional setting to qualified mentors, who will help them analyze the challenges and the value proposition and move from a simple idea to a new business venture.
The bootcamp will be ONLINE starting September 7 with the final competition on Sept 11
